Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Renal Dry Dog Food 2KG Reviews

4.7 Rating 17 Reviews
This food helped to have our dogs breath stop smelling (as a result of her kidney failure) initially she eat this for 2-3 weeks - unfortunately she went off this food , and as she was on her last days we decided to let her eat other food to ensure she was happy. If our dog was not as serious - we would have continued this product - much cheaper through this website on autoship (by $10 a fortnight!) and the service is fantastic.

My suggestion, get a small bad and try it first. I bought a large bag and my dog won’t touch it.

Annoyed the smaller 2kg bags were not available. I just hope my girl lives long enough to eat all this 14kgs. It would be wonderful! Not just for the food because the food is what may keep her alive that long.

When diagnosed with Renal failure the vet gave us a different brand of food for her. She wouldn't touch it and starved herself for 3 days ( a major surprise for a Lab/Staffie x who vacuums her food normally) so we tried this product. She ate it all up straight away and now, 10mths later at 16yrs old she is running around and much happier.

Our 14 year old Lab has been put on this for Kidney failure. Her kidneys are now at 25%, which is an improvement from what they were before this food. Her coat is not as good now compared to the previous food, but it is all about her kidneys at this stage.

this is a prescription diet food. i was recommended to put my 18 year fox terrier x dog by our vet. my foxy was messing a lot, and had the starts of kidney failure. I found i could order it online, rather than go through the vet and have to make another trip to the vet to pick up dog food, also they would have to order in so it makes sense to cut that process out and get it delivered directly. i am not sure its any cheaper, probably is slightly, but it has improved my foxys messing to nil...and she appears to be alot happier in her elderly state (she was on eukanuba before). she has always been fussy about her food. so she is fussy with this as well, but that is nothing unusual for her. i sometimes add some water to it because her teeth/gums are tender these days. but she hasnt had any accidents at all, which is fabulous.

Our dog was diagnosed with Kidney Disease 9 months ago. I was hesitant to place her on this food. Her kidney function has not decreased in 9 months whilst being on this food. She has also gained weight while being on it. Prior to being on it she was uninterested in food and losing a lot of weight. Thoroughly recommend and I was definitely skeptical to begin with!

This was prescribed by a vet. It has definitely improved my 15 yr old foxie's health. She is still going strong.
