Can I ask what sort of outdoor furniture you were trying to protect? How big is it? How many chairs?
How much product did you use and how many coats did you apply?
What outcome were you trying to achieve?
For any outdoor furniture, we recommend applying 100ml per M2 of fabric per coat. We always recommend 2 coats for any outdoor furniture and this second coat can be done within half an hour from the first.
You also need to check with the manufacturer that a fabric protector hasn't already been applied. The way protectME works is by coating each individual fibre. If there is already a protectant on the fabric, then there is nothing for protectME to stick to.
If there has been a protectant applied already, you may need to wait until that coating has worn off. Other fabric protectors normally last for around 6-12 months.
If you aren't sure if a protectant has already been used, you can always do the spill test. Just pour some water onto the fabric and see if the water beads or soaks straight in.
Again, if the water beads, you will have to wait until the coating has worn off, but if it soaks in, you are ok to use protectME now.
