I'm sorry to hear about that.
Please note that our product has been developed to repel liquids and stains but is not a waterproofer.
If the material has a tight weave or the fibres are close together, it can cause a waterproofing effect as protectME coats each individual fibre and sends out little hairs. These little hairs connect, and hence, water can slide off if not exposed to long periods.
If the material is loose weave or the fibres are far apart, then, as protectME is breathable, some water can escape through the fibres. ProtectME was developed this way so the look, feel and smell of the fabric does not change.
Once the material fibres are protected, it will make the material much easier to clean as the dirt won't be able to penetrate the fibres. Any off-the-shelf spot treatment can be used to help lift any stubborn marks without having to reapply the coating and you can also steam clean the material as protectME can withstand temps up to 250 degrees Celsius.
If you were to try our product, then I would recommend applying 2 coats which can be done 30 minutes apart from each other and please double-check that another fabric protector has not been used. If there is another protector already on the fabric, then there will be nothing for protectME to stick to and you may need to wait until that coating has worn off to apply our product then.
Other standard fabric protectors normally last around 6-12 months.

I am so sorry. I responded to your leaked message on the 22nd but you don't seem to have received the response. Possibly it has gone into your spam folder?
I responded asking for you to send a photo of what you received in the box that it came in and the labels so we could rectify this for you.
You stated the box wasn't really well and we could follow up with Aus post to see if they repackaged the product.
