I love off-grid in the mountains of Utah. Even though I ordered the incorrect heater for the unit I own, this heater is high quality. I have used multiple immersion heaters and other heating units. The heater is built with high quality and the components are not trash. I will be ordering the unit it fits and the correct heater for my other rinsekit. Building a dream home, retreat center, and clamping center in the woods is dirty work. I recommend this product and all others from this fine company.

Hello Thomas! Thanks for providing feedback on your experience. Rinsekit is not responsible for any purchases made for incompatible accessories as product pages specify which accessories work with which RinseKit model. On the page for the hot rod water heater, it states "Only compatible with the RinseKit Plus, Pod, LUX and Original Black or White RinseKit" our discontinued models. Hello Michael! Thank you for reviewing your experience. As specified on the product page for this item, it is only compatible with our discontinued 1.5-2 gallon models. It is not compatible with any of our current battery powered models, which is why it was unsuccessful in heating your unit. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to contact me at info@rinsekit.com!

The RinseKit Hot Rod Water Heater is an absolute game-changer for outdoor enthusiasts like me who often need a quick, warm rinse after surfing, hiking, or camping. This compact device is designed for convenience and works seamlessly with the RinseKit Plus and Pod systems. Performance: The heating rod is efficient and heats water quickly, providing warm water in under 15 minutes when connected to a car’s 12V socket. This is perfect for chilly days when a cold rinse just won’t cut it. Ease of Use: Setup is straightforward—just plug it into your car’s power outlet, drop the rod into the RinseKit, and let it do its magic. The LED indicators make it easy to monitor the heating process. Durability and Design: The stainless steel heating rod feels sturdy and well-made, and the long cable provides flexibility in positioning. The compact control unit is intuitive and doesn’t take up much space. Pros: • Quick and efficient water heating. • Simple setup and operation. • Perfect for post-surf or outdoor activities in colder weather. Cons: • Requires a car’s power outlet, so it’s not as convenient for off-grid use without a vehicle nearby. • Takes up some time if you’re in a rush. Overall, the RinseKit Hot Rod is a fantastic addition to the RinseKit lineup, especially for anyone needing warm water on the go. It’s a must-have for surfers and outdoor adventurers!

How are you going to use your RinseKit? On the Job
I used my Rinsekit heating element rod and mounted through a bulkhead fitting I affixed into my Engel65 hardsided cooler strapped down on the upper helm(top of my pilothouse) of my 2520 Parker charter boat for my guests to be able to have a nice warm (gravity fed) shower when finished diving for the day, The engel cooler works so well (unlike yetis) because the lid seals tight so water doesn't leak out the lid when it's latched and on the wavy ocean. The water is still warm even 18hrs after the heating element has been turned off, I drilled a 1/2" hole in the back corner of my lid and used 3M 5200 to seal a pieace of 1/2"OD vinyl tubing so the cooler can breath to have water come out at the shower head, I will buy another Rinsekit probe if it ends up failing
