Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved being able to play with the trucks and pretend to take food from my paddock to the shop. I liked looking at the different types of food that comes from farms and goes to the store.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Students loved the hands-on manipulative nature of the kit. Being able to see farm-table was massive for them.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? As a farming community, these kids are proud of the fact that their parents contribute to the food chain which is something they didn't realise before this kit arrived and we explored the farm-to-table connection.

The SchoolKit Bricks Farm 23 was an awesome tool to use in the classroom to enter into discussions about our food and where it comes from. As a small, rural school it was great to have something that was relevant and relatable for our kids.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Students would make a bee line when they arrived at school and were keen to show what they could make.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? They loved making up the people and making stories with the animals and vehicles. I pre-made the vehicles and glued the parts because the instructions were too difficult for the kids to follow
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A love of Lego and learning about farming and where food comes from.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved making the tractor by following the steps. It was tricky for some parts but we made it. I loved opening the packets and making the different vehicles with my friend. We had to start again because we got one step wrong.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Assembling some of the vehicles were challenging for some children. They needed to take some pieces apart and try again. It required perseverance and resilence to achieve making the end product. Very rewarding.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That you need to follow the steps slowly and surely to ensure success for making a creation. Not just simply rushing ahead and thinking you know how to make something.

The kids absolutely loved figuring out how to assemble each part of the farm. It was great to see collaboration happening as they systematically worked through each step to assemble the various vehicles etc. The children have used the farm as part of our Learning Through Play throughout the year. So many learning experiences by doing this. Thank you.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? My learner can connect to this using their prior knowledge and draw on real experiences. Lots of oral language, lots of story telling/writing. We connected the theme to our reading and inquiry.

This is was absolutely amazing! The resources were fantastic and so timely as all the children were interested in the lego farm as we had started collecting some as a class. We are a farming community so the children could draw on real life experiences throughout their learning. The team work involved with the bricks and farm building evolved over time. Oral language was a strong component.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Lots of requests to use kit during the play based learning component of the day. Encouraged lots of discussion between students, sharing, taking turn, managing self etc. This kit was useful for an ESOL student who enjoyed locating the different animals and making the noises they made. They are now including the animal names and sounds into their stories.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The cardboard puzzle and the bricks - able to be creative and independent with this equipment. It has also been used with other classroom equipment - other cars and plastic animals.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? You don't have to prescribe to using the equipment in one way. They have dismantled some vehicles and combined them with others to create something new.

My class of Yr 0-2 have enjoyed playing with the brick farm over the year. They mainly choose to use the brick component (as this is something they can do independently) rather than using the additional activities and games. The farm machinery was built by myself and my older teenage children as it was too technical and time-consuming for the 5and 6 yr olds to create independently. Sadly, in the time constraints of the school day, it is not an option to spend hours with individuals making the vehicles. The cardboard puzzle is a hit and they enjoy making it up and driving around the farm with the vehicles and making new farms with the other classroom resources we have - eg wooden blocks and plastic animals.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them (1) "Wow! I didn't know that!" was often said after we looked at a new aspect. (2) "So they don't need to go to the supermarket like we do." this was said after exploring what is on a farm and why i.e., milk comes from cows, eggs come from chickens
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The hands on parts of the Bricks kit.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? Mostly is allowed for talk. It is a NE class so oral language development is an important part of the programme. There are also number of ELL students so it was a great avenue for vocabulary building and colourful semantics work. Not to mention that lego based activities really engage them.

It was a great kit. It gave the students lots of opportunities to explore things related to farming and animals as well as building skills like following instructions and fine motor skills. They enjoyed making things and learning about different types of farm purposes i.e., cows/dairy farming, sheep, and growing vegetables. I also used some twinkle matching activities i.e., matching animals to baby animals i.e. cow/calf, sheep/lamb and ones that talk about things we get from farms i.e., milk comes from cows, eggs from chickens etc
