Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Students were working with more than their friendship groups. Students had responsibility for looking after the parts of the kit, so it reinforced respect for the equipment.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks and puzzle set up. These were the basis of the Oral Language. We tried the games and the Te Reo, my older students played these independently.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We had a lot of discussions around farm animals and the names for their babies e.g. calves and lambs, rather than 'baby sheep'. We looked up some real examples of baby animals on the farms and where they lived. It was really interesting looking at the fruit and vegetables and where they grew.

My students really enjoyed the Bricks Farm 23 set. It worked well for engaging students, increasing Oral Language and integrating some Te Reo. Students were asking for this as an option during the day. So we used one of our PBL tables and repurposed it, this term it is still in place and doesn't look like its going away any time soon.

I ended up changing year levels for 2023 and had already ordered the kit for my class. My year 5s and 6s loved it however and enjoyed creating things and playing the game. It certainly didn't go to waste even at their age!
