“Kids loved it. Some kids enjoyed following the plans while others liked the simpler tasks of setting up the farm. Once everything was made we used it for imaginative play. We then discussed clean environments which we then linked into or Looking after the sea (River in our case) unit from School Kit.”

“Having the kit provided lots of opportunities for high needs students to develop social skills whilst working with other children to put the kit together. It was also good for facilitating discussions with English Language Learners about different things to do with farming and the supermarket. Every classroom should have a set to work with their students with!!”

“We enjoyed making the farm and vehicles and learning about farm life and fruit/veggies. Some of the pieces/sets were quite small/hard for 5 year olds to put together. Teacher ended up putting most together. They enjoyed putting g farm/road puzzle together.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We use this daily with the kits.. some of it is now part of our Lego stash. But the kids keep saying when playing with it i remember when we got this kit.

“We LOVE LOVE LOVED this pack. So many cool ways to integrate it into our current learning. We also recently linked it to Matariki - Tupu-a-nuku. We felt lucky to receive this pack and even the tamariki said "wow learning and school can actually be so much fun". It's these moments that as a kaiako are priceless and make it worth it. I felt the kid was just the foundational parts you could really go wild and adapt this to suit the needs of your class. We loved "building on" to the kit with our own flare.. How cool! Thank you again for providing a relevant and engaging resource to spark the next generation and be at no cost to the school or kaiako.”

When I started playing with the bricks lots of others wanted to play with me. it was fun playing with lots of others. We all worked on

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The lego building as kids seem to be on devoces at home and have missed the 'lego stage.'

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Fun, co-operative - had to do it with a buddy , the play they got from it afterwards - for a long time - still using it.
