Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them We talked about what animals we have on our farms and what we feed them. I like how we could grow lots of different food. My favourite part was collecting the eggs just like we do at school.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Mainly the food, animals and the truck because the students could associate with these in some ways. We grow crops and vegetables at school and many students are from farming backgrounds.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? How we can grow our own food and where it comes from when we can’t grow it.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved trying to follow the pictures to build the milk tanker. It was tricky and I needed to ask for some help. We had to work as a team to build our farm and share all the pieces.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? For our discovery focus of team work the vehicles were perfect.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "I love this stuff, I see cows on farm next to my house every day". "This Lego is for boys, I can't see any pink lego, but I can help if you need my help, cause I help my brother and I'm really good at it".

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The foldout Farm Mat/Road thingy - We added other farm toys etc, the class brought in farm lego from home. We made cars, a garage, a dairy, houses, a petrol station etc with the class lego to add to the farm to create a township.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Teamwork, collaboration, sharing knowkledge, making connections and finding out we all know a little and can share and learn from each other.

“My class loved this box of resources, although they found the games slightly challenging as they are still learning to read, they enjoyed building the farm together and sharing ideas, changing the farm around and getting to work on it as a reward when they moved up levels academically, showed respect in the class, etc. They created stories about the farm and items on the farm, wrote sentences and drew pictures, and painted art about the farm in the classroom. The students made huge connections with what we built and what we see in our farming community. Cows, sheep, tractors, hay, goats, crop fields etc.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them They were really cool. It was great when we got to open a new box as a special treat. We made a really big farm with animals and vegetables on it.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The blocks and the animals (which they don't have in their usual Lego)

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The critical thinking and teamwork involved in building the bigger pieces, the creativity of 'inventing' farms, and the small amounts of te reo vocabulary we could introduce with the games

“The children in our Learn through Play class (years1-2) got so much from this kit. While there were the children who wanted to dive in and just make, make make, others were more thoughtful, working with others to build different kinds of farms - adding other lego, or wooden blocks, boxes and pictures to represent a range of farms. It was good for explaining the recent floods as well. The Games and Te reo cards were a good resource for literacy time, and the instructions for more complex toys were useful for engaging those children who needed extension work, or just some time for themselves”
