Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Having the cards with the words on each side as the children can check quickly if they were unsure.

“The bricks farm has been great. Collaborating while they built the farm was just the start. We have used the fruit and veges to discuss healthy eating and how they grow (in the ground, bushes and trees). We have planted things and used the animals for maths. 5 rows of 2 = and 3 trees with 5 apples on each = and 6 chickens and 2 ran away etc… Adding legs of the different animals We have written about what it would be like to be a farmer… the day in the life of a pig… This is just some of the ideas.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them My class are 5. One of them followed the instructions to the T and made a truck. I have never seen him so concentrated. Another one enjoyed exploring and created his own small world supermarket.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? We mainly used the brick pieces with the different parts they could relate to from the supermarket they were able to engage in some small world pretend play.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A hand on activity that allowed structure for those that can follow instructions but freedom to be creators.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Making the models as the students needed to talk to each other and learn to ask for help when the going got tough rather than giving up.

That was like it was in the story we have been reading. It was great to see the cross over between oral language and written language.

“My class was very excited when the bricks arrived. Many of them had some of the farm at home already. It has proved to be a wonderful activity to use with our buddy class. They are Year 5 and can help with the small pieces. They enjoyed playing the games and making the farm. When we had wet days the Bricks Farm became the thing to go to. Last year's class were very envious as they were lego mad so some even sneaked in to help before school. Thank you for the wonderful kit. I hope more schools get a chance to use it.”
