There sure is a lot of things that the farmer has to do to get the food ready before it comes to us". "It is exciting to see what is hiding in the bags and boxes, and then we got to work r

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I think this kit was so impactful because it linked so many aspects of the curriculum together. It included reading, spelling, math (positional language) and also focused in on the key competencies - collaboration, problem-solving, sharing etc. The child

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We are a city school and our 'town' kids got to have a little more knowledge about life in the country. I even had some children saying that they would love to become a farmer! Memorable learning opportunities - activities that made learning lots of fun!

“This has been a wonderful learning experience for our classroom. The children were so excited opening the box and it was wonderful to see the collaboration and problem-solving that happened as the children worked together to create each of the lego boxes. We used the kit as an initial starter and then worked into looking at food production around New Zealand, and the importance of this to our economy. Motivation with this kit was definitely not lacking! Thank you for providing this kit. A+++”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The small bags of bricks (can't remember the actual name used for these) for making basic facts equations.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Without doubt, the bricks - particularly the people and animals. As well as a great way of developing teamwork and cooperation, we have used the 'extras' as part of our inquiry into how the first people to arrive in NZ managed (animals, crops etc)

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? No legacy - this is now a regular part of the classroom!

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them The animals are cute, I like making their houses. I like playing with the trucks and driving them to the animals and farmers.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves, the options are endless with these. The only issue I had was the instructions for making the vehicles were hard to follow, my 5 yeRs olds couldn't do it so I ended up making them, but the kids LOVE playing with the vehicles.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The learning about farm animals was pretty cool, we had loads of questions come out while exploring with the bricks. We looked at books about farming, milking, what else happens on farms etc. Coming from a farm myself I loved sharing my own knowledge espe
