Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "We need to share and take turns, sharing is caring." "I liked being able to read the instructions - one time I had to redo a part because I haven't put the piece in the correct place. Its ok coz I could fix it."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The children loved playing the games - great to see the sharing and turn taking happening independently so everyone was included.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The creative - children have been able to create different pieces using the bricks and they have also developed their own farm landscapes.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I did find that my age group struggled a little with how the kit was intended but we adapted and I guess the greatest positive was how they respect the lego, how they look after this resource, it is a real treasure and they just love making different farm

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Love of creating. Strong Oral language. Problem solving.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? Children went looking for books in our library around combine harvesters, milk tankers and farming. Some of my students identified things in our Junior reading books with the elements of the kit.

“This is an outstanding resource. The actual making was a little tricky with my Yr 1 group. I realised that this was going to work better in small groups. The group discussion and collaborative nature of constructing the lego items was really great. It was encouraging to see some of the shyer more quiet students participate and lead the actual making phase of this kit. Some children had obviously never experienced Lego and showed levels of frustration but it was so great to see others helping and explaining what needed to be done. We continue to use this kit as part of our reading rotation. Fabulous for oral language.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They were so worried I'd take it with me when I changed schools this year! They were very attached to the play aspect of it.

“Our class of Year 2's really enjoyed receiving and making all the items in the set, which fitted perfectly into our topic "Where food comes from" The game boards were a little complicated for them and the word cards were messed up and lost quite quickly, but they loved plying farms and recognising some of the food pieces that we were studying, along with their Te Reo words.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The boys absolutely love building the farm vehicles, and the people.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? We focused on farm animals and this kit just helped students to better understand what sort of equipment you could find on a farm.
