“These were great to have in the classroom. My Year One class needed some mums/dads to help them put the kits together, but then they enjoyed playing with all the pieces and placing them around the farm. Lots of discussion was had between the children too.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? My class really enjoyed the bricks, but mostly the puzzles as they were able to work together to create them.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They now have a great resource to use daily.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks - the excitement of following the instructions and making a farm vehicle or building

“Thank you so much for the lovely farm bricks. I have a year one class. The students were super excited to open the boxes of farm bricks that contained the farm vehicles and buildings. In groups of two, they had the challenge of constructing one of the items. Students who had followed the instructions and worked with bricks before found the task easier than students who hadn't worked with brick instructions before. The students then each got two of the little bags to open. They loved having a lucky dip and then all putting them on the table to share. We left the farm set up in the classroom and students would often come back to rearrange and play with the bricks. We then used the farm to code directions on how to get from one place to another. We also got books from the National Library and our school library that explained where food comes from and how it is made.”
