What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? It helped us to make definite plans and be proactive. We learnt important skills to take home and transfer to other areas of our lives.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? My class is actually quite multicultural and they are all very accepting of each others cultures and differences. This kit helped us to all realise just how bad racism is in parts of our own country and others. It helped us to celebrate our own difference
This was such a well thought out kit. The children loved the pictionary activity and enjoyed telling me new facts and ideas about their cultural backgrounds.

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? A very positive impact. We are looking at the differences in our class and how we treat other people. The students are realising it's okay not to be the same as everyone else and that we are all unique and different and how to value other cultures.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? It changed how the way we treat each other. We have a very multicultural class and some of the attitudes in our class are from past generations so we are breaking down the stereotypes and attitudes.

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? Rather than look at the differences, focus on the similarities.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? Children more willing to share cultural knowledge - before they were embarrassed.
It made the children think about how their everyday actions and words effect people.

As a very multicultural classroom many of our students don't have preconceived notions around cultures at their age levels however this changed when going out into the wider world. While this hasn't effected our classroom environment it did make our stude

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? This fitted in with our term 3 inquiry unit which focused on local waterways. The students cleaned up rubbish and also planted over 150 trees along Kingswell Creek (feeds into our estuary)

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? We do not have a diverse range of cultures at our rural school, however we could relate this to our school culture and what others in our community might see at times and how we might change things.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? Students are more aware of the comments they and other make, a lot more respect being shown.
A very good kit with some difficult but necessary content.
