How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? By putting a focus on their feelings and how they all relate to others and see themselves.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It opened up conversations they may not have come up without this focus. It also continued to foster the positive relationships developed with families during the lockdown time.

“I used the kit as part of our settling back into school after lockdown. The children really connected to the journal and thinking about their own feelings, inspirations and people. We used the charging station a bit differently and looked at the cards (as part of a literacy tumble) relating them to our school values and how we could use these ideas to support us. Thanks school kit.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The booklet/journal was great for self reflection, helpful to some reflective thinking on where they were currently at. Didn't get to use the elf charging station due to lock down, had it all set up and the kids were very intrigued by it.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Hard to say since I never managed to fully use the charging station, however I thought this kit was very relevant in relation to what happened with COVID 19 lock down. Was perfect timing that we had just being discussing resilience when the need to coping

“Due to lock down starting when I had only just starting to use I never got the opportunity to use the self charging station. However I thought the lead up activities and booklet were great and could see the potential for the kit to be really helpful.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? We were able to discuss and expeess/explain our feelings. Gain a lot of understanding.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Unfortunately we didn't get to use this due to covid.. we needed to focus on other areas upon return to school.

“Hi there. Unfortunately we were unable to complete the kit due to leaving school during lockdown. We started the kit a few weeks prior to lockdown and our students enjoyed working from the booklets. My only difficulty using the booklet was on the page in the book where students needed to take them home to be filled out my someone (people they looked up to/trusted etc). Unfortunately we couldn't do this part because we felt there would have been too much discrimination amongst our students with the majority not having the same home support as others etc. However, in the future I would definitely like to try this kit again. By placing a token in an envelope every morning they know that I will make the time to catch up with them if they are feeling down. It allows me to make allowances for my students e

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Able to talk and discuss how they are feeling - are they feeling low, energised, etc. Some of the more mature Year 5s are able to explain why they might be feeling that way.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The Charging Station was helpful for children who were not confident to start a conversation themselves, but we (the teachers) could check with those who were in the red/yellow zones by starting the conversations.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It offered a platform to open up the discussion on many topics and because it was something we were all engaged in, it became "ok"to talk about emtions and problems.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The daily check in wall was helpful. Unfortunately Covid 19 meant we couldn't utilise the kit as much as we first intended.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The daily check in token proved most helpful. I noticed the children start to communicate with each other & myself more about how they were feeling.
