Some days I needed to recharge my batteries and other days I helped others recharge their batteries." "The charging wall was fun to set up. We moved our library shelf so we had a place to stand and recharge. I liked the cards to tell me how I can help myself and others"

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The physical resources for the charging station were easy to use and a practical element for students.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think this kit will be remembered for teaching an awareness and understanding of our own self and how our confidence and/or feelings can change each day and throughout the day. The important part is taking time to be aware of these changes.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? After the cyclone, the classroom had a myriad of different feelings and emotions - some bottled up and some more evident. This school kit has been a key tool to help students communicate and unpack their feelings and emotions.

They have been together for two years and the 'wheels were starting to fall off' a little with some of them. Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The booklets as it was used between home and school. Even though we have a zone of regulation chart in the class, they liked the box as nobody but me and a TA got to see their response.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think that taking the books home is important as they can go back over the information when really needed.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked being able to tell my teacher what I needed without having to stand up in front of everyone. I didn't realise that my words were hurting my own feelings, I can go to the charge up station instead when I need some help.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? Our kids were already pretty resilient (possibly too resilient) and not asking for help when they needed it. Over the last 2 weeks, the kids have been able to decide when to get support, and actively seek adult assisstance.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The children are noticing what's going on for each other, and being supportive (mostly) by offering reminders to use the strategies for supporting themselves or getting help

“This kit came at an opportune moment for our Year 3-5 class. We had started noticing both negative self-talk and some bullying popping up as term 3 came to an end. This gave us a safe way to check in, and connected well with the PB4L that has already been implemented.”
