Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The booklet was fantastic at getting the students to self-reflect which can be really hard at their age. I think this really got them thinking.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think it has started to make them more self-aware which will hopefully keep going.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence I think it has helped them to think about the good things they have in their lives, especially their network of people who care/can help them.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? I'm not too sure on this one - I think the discussion it prompted about breathing techniques and other things that help us when we are stressed etc, helped.

“The My Self Confidence kit is beautifully made. I think this would be perfect for Y4, Y5 or Y6 classes. I used and loved the booklets and the self-check-in box (this is an awesome idea). The wall attachments were a little bit confusing and I wish they had come with clear instructions as they look really visually appealing. Overall, it was great to give the kids a chance to reflect on how they are doing and I think with clearer instructions it would be fantastic.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked the tokens and I could choose where to put the token depending on how I was feeling.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The parent letter and the self charging station. The parent letter is heartfelt and meaningful - something that the children can look back at over the years. The tokens were a hit with the children.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The kit helped children demonstrate a range of communication skills to support appropriate interaction with others. It will also help children to describe how their own feelings, beliefs, and actions contribute to a personal sense of self worth.

We didn't use the battery analogy though - as we are not a machine, but human beings. Instead we talked about a focus on energy levels and emotional awareness.

“The school kit played a significant role in improving the self-confidence amongst my students. First and foremost the students were prepared and able to actively participate in classroom activities due to the resources provided. The use of this kit has generally increased their readiness and boosted their confidence as they are able to keep up and engage in discussions. Additionally, the school kit included tools for creative expression, engaging in creative activities that built self-expression and encouraged students to explore and showcase their talents which ultimately boosted their self-esteem. This kit created a supportive environment where students felt even more valued and appreciated than they already did, leading to the enhancement of their overall self-confidence.”
