They didn't know about the community gardens, how to participate, what they offered etc. We had one garden coordinator come in and speak with our students and engage them in authentic mahi (advertising the garden) as an act of participation
Has this kit prompted any new food related initiatives within your school?
We have applied for and received funding for a school composting system and will look to add to/extend our school maara and create a full system
