How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Great although due to camp we haven't had a chance to explore the postcards sent to us fully yet.
Kids really enjoyed working the pens and exploring interesting language. My collaborative partner and I did find the support material a little difficult to follow particularly the past about anagrams. It was confusing because it made it seem there was a different meaning for anagram which threw is for a minute.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Writing to a wider audience gave them purpose and they really enjoyed contributing to the larger whole class sheet. Unfortunately our postcards that we received from another school weren't complete or coloured in so my children felt a bit let down after p
I thought it was great! It opened my class up to using more adjectives and while we were at it we looked at nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs as they were curious to know the difference. They loved using Note.ly too! They thought the items were awesome.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Have yet to receive mail. Will be exciting but will only last a short while. Did give a deadline which hustled us along!
While this was a great resource it was too early in the year for us. we were developing writing in full sentences, complete and making sense with our Year 3/4 students. Then we had to stop and write only in words! would have suited us to do later in year when poetry could be the focus. Also found the process rather hard with Year 3 students - Year 3/4 mixed classes.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It was rushed
The plan was a bit confusing. Term 1 is busy busy and the timeframe was too short having to fit it into my week. Overall kids enjoyed parts of the activities, the items were great.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Swapping postcards added value because it helped the children to be accountable and persevere with the task even when they were finding it tricky.
The children enjoyed swapping postcards and posters and poems with another school and are eagerly awaiting their buddy school's package. They enjoyed opening the tin and looking at the various items as well as writing the colour poem. However, they struggled with coming up with anagrams independently and with coming up with enough sticky wow words. I did prefer the more choice and freedom we had last year as my children sent off a variety of poems.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? LOVED this part. My class loved reading what the others did and really enjoyed getting to see others work.
The task was great fun. My children loved getting to write ";poetry"; as not just rhyming words etc. As a class, we could've explored sticky words more but as very young year 3's they wern't as capable as others would be. Overall, hard but fun.
