What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? I hope to develop a curiosity for how things work. Learning through play and creating new designs.

What opportunities arose for cross curricular learning while teaching this kit? I am looking forward to developing scientific conversations and adding new vocabulary to the children's repertoire. I hope that it will lead to some writing. Maths will also be a component.

“This kit allowed students to understand ‘power’. As a class we unpacked what ‘power’ meant to them. I have been fortunate to have quite a few ‘science-minded’ students, so they were able to support other students and their understanding. The hands-on aspect of the kit was perfect for this age group to stimulate interest, wondering and discussion. The discussions between students was great and some information was recalled during zoom sessions.”

What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Unfortunately, our long lockdown period has interrupted alot of our learning with this kit but it definitely sparked an interest in different types of energy, how it is transferred and possible experiments that we could've explored.
