In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Lots of oral language and literacy opportunities. As we do the bulk of our planning at the end of the previous term, it would be great to have the the kits and lesson resources even earlier. What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? This term our team will be focusing on NZ Native animals and caring for the environment. Will be able to make lots of links to the Little Garden project.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Students love eating things that they have grown and cared for themselves. As the plants will finish growing at home (we don't have a suitable spot in the school to grow them) I can't quite comment on successfulness yet.
As we do the bulk of our planning at the end of the previous term, it would be great to have the the kits and lesson resources even earlier. With the current schedule we have usually already done most of our planning and then need to squeeze in the school kit activities. I would really like to be able to dedicate more time and energy to the school projects because they are so awesome.

The children were so engaged with the Little Growers Secret Club, their pledge, the badges, receiving their own seed to grow, the codes. The little garden kit has been an amazing resource for my Y0-Y1 class. They have enjoyed getting their hands dirty to plant the seeds and have especially loved watching the plants sprout and grow. Having the added excitement of passing a little test and posting a form into the little mailbox to become a member of the league was a great touch. They have proudly sported their membership badges and looked after their membership cards so that they could solve the mystery messages. Their conversations have been that much more rich and meaningful through their experiences that were enhanced by having the little garden kit in the classroom. Thank you so much for making this resource available for free. We really appreciate it!

My students and myself LOVED our little league garden kit! We really enjoyed being able to plan our own vegetables and herbs and watching them grow. We were very interested by mint as lots of us had never tried it. This got the students talking and trying new vegetables at home, then coming to school the next day excited to tell me what they thought about the flavour.
