we looked at science of a seed growing, wrote stories about veges they had eaten, drew pictures of veges, wrote instructions of how to plant a seed, labelled diagrams, created containers from cardboard to make a mini planter, stories, poems and songs
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit?
looking at the changes that the seed goes through to become a plant, next term we are looking at changes that take place in mini beasts- their needs
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating?
talking about and naming veges and what they have tried. Wanting to grow a vege to eat. They have become interested in the veges I eat at lunch time - asking me if they didn't know the names of them.
