How effective was this kit in promoting healthy eating in your classroom?
In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Good use for science, literacy and maths. Our inquiry unit was change so it fitted perfectly with that.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? To keep talking about healthy eating and to see over time the changes, and also who manages to grow and eat the different veggies.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The children have been involved in discovering new veggies and very keen to try them as they grow.
Lots of ideas, kids loved hands on stuff and digital resources provided.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We've integrated as much as possible with all learning. See above.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We can use our kitchen as school more often to cook. We have a Neat Beets gardening group and a number of students are keen to join now. We have veges in the school garden ready for harvest next term.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Oh it's been fantastic. We have learnt more about vegetables and trying new foods too.
Hi there, We have loved the kit. Thank you so much. We have integrated the learning into much of our end of term as possible. We have created a Kahoot! and shared on the teacher page on facebook. We have enjoyed seeing the plants grow. We have learned Maori names for vegetables. We have loved cracking the codes each week. We absolutely love the Broccoli song on your Spotify playlist and now the students are watching Nadia Lim to checkout recipes and be inspired. Thanks so much!

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? This kit provided opportunities for writing, maths and science. We measured the growth of our plants and kept a diary. Students learnt how to care for plants and their lifecycle.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? This has provided stimulus for our Term 4 topic of sunflowers. We will be growing sunflowers and doing a technology unit around this.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Students at my school generally have a healthy diet already but were interested in how the vegetable plants grow.
This was a high interest kit that had the students engaged from the beginning. The planting process was a little challenging as every person planting needed to wear a mask and gloves. This was difficult due to budget constraints so the teacher needed to do the planting. There were lots of cross curricular links that were possible as a result of this kit.
