What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We are planning a trip to the Botanical Gardens next term, more baking and cooking and a Teddy Bear's picnic with some of the healthy foods we have made. Extend onto insects, healthy eating, nutrition, bees, flowers, plants, pollination.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? This kit has made students recognise and talk about what healthy eating looks like. We have tried many recipes and explored different meals that we eat that have vegetables in them. It is relevant and engaging.

My class loved learning about the variety of vegetables and how they looked different at various stages of growth. They were curious about vegetables they hadn't heard of and were keen to explore further to find out.

“What an absolutely well thought out and exciting kit. My class loved the secrecy involved and the ceremony of getting their badges and reciting the oath. They have loved the planting process and watching their seedlings grow. Some of them have already outgrown their pots and have been re-homed to their new growing homes that are more spacious (we did a bit of research on what we should use to ensure they got enough sunlight.”

They were excited watching them grow and some were even shocked to find out that an onion plant takes two years to fully grow (";I will be 10 years by then!";). They all made plan

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Planting vegetables helped the students become interested in the types of veges available and gave them the courage to try tasting some of them. They were surprised by how many vegetables they liked

The children were very excited to be a part of the LGL and the idea linked well with drama conventions. I would highly recommend this pack and look forward to working with school kit again”
