How effective was this kit in promoting healthy eating in your classroom?
In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We did lots of science learning about growing plants. Lots of great stories around this theme. The children wrote fabulous descriptions of the fruit and vegetables they ate. We linked maths activities too.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Science - living world. Enviro and social studies, looking after environment.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children were challenged to try as many new and different vegetables as possible. Parents reported that it was making mealtimes fun and encouraging children to eat more vegetables.
We were late starting our project as it tied in better with our learning for Term 4. We have been learning about seeds, flowering plants, fruit, vegetables and trees. The children have loved planting their Little Gardens. They have also helped me plant the school orchard. The activities provided were highly relevant and resources were fabulous.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? This kit tied in nicely with our inquiry topic of life processes. Learning how things grow and survive and how we can help them to thrive. It was also great for maths and we compared the growth of the plants, measured them and graphed the results. There w
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We went on to look at how worms help the soil that the plants need to grow and look at our school worm farm.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kids learnt a lot about vegetables and fruits. Most of them didn't know anything about herbs so it was great to have those included as well. We had a tasting afternoon and they discovered that if they were brave and just tried it most of them actually
This was an awesome kit. My y1/2 class were so excited to see what was in the box. The resources were high quality and everything you needed was provided. The kids were so pleased to be able to take their own plant home at the end and lots have kept me updated with how they are growing. Lots of them collected more seedling kits from our local New World when their parents were shopping.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We tied this into our literacy, by identifying the alphabet/letters on the weekly code and making up our own codes. We used celery and food colouring to show how the plants absorbed their nutrients from out of the soil.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Sustainability
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children enjoyed growing the food and then knowing what each of the vegetable were. Growing them themselves encouraged them to want to try eating them. They were all excited about being in the secret club.
The resources on the web page were child friendly and easy to find. We watched several videos multi time, each time getting different ideas out of them. The secret club had children hooked in from the start and they all proudly wore their badges. They kept the club a big secret and would not share what it was with other children if they didn't have a badge,

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? The kit was great for cross -curricular learning. We included science, how the plants grow, what they need to grow etc and we used math to measure the water to plant the vegetables, fractions to fill the pots. We made 3D models of the vegetables using mat
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Future learning for our children will be watching our garden grow, making food with the vegetables. Making a book about our garden. We will continue to follow our children's interests. Making healthy lunch choices.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We were in the first stages of planting and talking about the vegetables, how they grow- and i think the healthy eating would come next after we established a growing garden (which we are planning too) It was definitely interesting to see some of the chil
The school Kit was super fun to receive and my class loved planting the plants and watching them grow. They really enjoyed the game and it was interesting watching the children learn the different names for the vegetables. They like the secret club part of the box and working out the different codes. We did lots of arts and science based around how the plants grew and their favourite vegetables. It took a bit longer to grow and get ourselves organised to replant the plants than we anticipated.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? We have incorporated this learning into our writing keeping notes on seedling changes. We have measured seedlings in math too. Also we have done some sketching in art time.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? We plant the seedlings to use in future for cooking in our paddock to plate garden.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Yes the children have a better understanding of where their vegetables come from now and the range of vegetables out there. We have made an effort to eat vegetables at brain food time and discuss their goodness and nutrition benefits.
The materials were absolutely top notch.......by far my favourite school kit. The organisation of the resources and material was to perfection and so easy to follow for the teacher.

In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children are much more prepared to try out ne foods as a result of the kit. They have been trying new vegetables and fruits at home. They know that vegetables can be fun and not scary. They know they can taste super delicious - both raw and cooked.
What an amazing kit - from woe to go the children absolutely loved it - total engagement throughout the kit even after we had finished it. They are still talking about it and we are still continuing to build on the kit now with work around The Munch Bunch characters.

In what ways did this kit give opportunity for cross-curricular learning? Living world, science, health and well-being - linking vegetables to providing energy.
What future learning opportunities have arisen from this kit? Garden to table with our community gardens.
In what ways has this kit improved students awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children were able to see link from the seed, plant and then vegetables that they recognise on their sandwiches and dinner plates at home.
The children were very excited to grow their little gardens. They rushed to look each day to see if they had grown. The code was appropriate for some of the children but many needed support to complete and then help to read the message. They had an opportunity some weeks later to grow more seeds and as part of the garden to table programme have become a lot more engaged with our school garden and what is growing.
