The children loved it all. There was a good variety of plants and they loved finding out about them.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Heaps.
We monitored growth and discuss why some plants may have taken longer to sprout etc.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Gave us the opportunity to have the discussion around being open to trying new things. Don't have to love it - but at least try!
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Their knowledge started off very poorly, but by the end they were able to name different vebetables.
This was so much fun. The children were excited the whole way through the process.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? There were some vegetables our children hadn’t seen before. They liked sharing their favourites.
It was so fun! Easy way to do planting at school and our kids really enjoyed watching them grow.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Absolute passion for growing vegetables, awareness yes , unsure whether this will be carried over long term for some.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Students were able to monitor their plants and talk about how they would grow.
Kids were keen little gardeners, with many continuing this passion at home during Term 3 holidays. We have continued planting this term and even with the torrential rain that swamped the plants, the kids had opinions as to what that meant short term and long term growth at school and at home.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We talked about 5+ a day and different ways you could cook vegetables
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? The children learnt about so many vegetables they hadn't heard of before. And one Chinese girl in my class recognised a lot of vegetables she eats at home and could tell the class about them.
The kit was amazing. The children learnt so much about different kinds of vegetables. They tended to them with a spray bottle of water everyday and we recorded which vegetables grew the fastest and which ones took their time. They were very surprised by the snow peas as they grew sideways around all the other pots!

This is such a fabulous kit. The children loved the resource and the fact it is hands on and and at the end of it they will have a plant to take home. I also loved that some many teachers happily offered resources, help and support,
