In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Students were more eager to try vegetables they had grown rather than try random vegetables supplied to them. We already grow potatoes every year so it was nice for the children to take a different vegetable home and try to grow it.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children were motivated by this discussion. However, connecting action with knowledge is the next step. Moving away from packaged foods is a challenge.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Children already had most prior knowledge in this area, so little change.
The content of the kit was great but signing up, not knowing what it was about, was challenging to anticipate what was coming and how to make the most of the opportunity. I found for year 4s the 'club' was a bit young for them and instead we went down a 'sustainability' route, which linked in with our 'Zero Waste' unit. Children enjoyed the plants and growing.

The little Garden project was a great success. It aligned well to our topic 'Paddock to Plate'. The children loved growing their plants, we also looked at micro greens and the continued growing of the plants in straw bales. They are still going strong and hope to use the produce to make soups and quiches later in the year. Thank you for such an awesome interactive kit.
