It was perfect timing as we were studying transformation as well as nurturing the whenua as part of our Tikanga practice. We also read the Lorax and it was lovely to be able to say they were "speaking for the trees" as they took their little pots home at the end of term 3 to continue the journey.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Worked well alongside life Ed for reminding the kids about why vegetables are important.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Our kids have quite a range of vegetable they recognise but the LGL still had some new members for us to discover. Some older children who visited my classroom were also very interested in the LGL members' poster to see what was available.
the children, forts of all, loved being in a secret club and even my new entrants fulfilled the criteria for the application. The badges are great and children still wear them. The panting itself was very successful with every child being able to plant at least one crop. Some who chose to were able to take a pot home for the holidays s and keep the vegetable alive at home and others have been planted out in our school gardens.

We are still using ours into term four. Thanks so much. We grew one each and then planted them in our school vege patch for the school holidays. Hopefully I will still have enough for each child to have a second one to grow. I will try and remember to take more photos this time.
