The students loved planting the seeds for My Little Garden. They enjoyed coming into school each day and checking if they have grown. This provided a good distraction for students who are reluctant to leave mum or dad before school. They were super excited when the seed had germinated and started to sprout. We counted how many days it took for the seeds to germinate and we measured the plants once they started growing and every couple of days. Students drew a bar graph, graphing their plant's growth. We planted some extra seeds for our school garden. Students were excited to take their plant home. Students were good at recognising vegetables. We talked about healthy eating and they had a good understanding of this.
