ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! As a non Green finger myself this was the perfect way to introduce gardening and planting in an exciting non threatening way. We even had parents share tips and tricks.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We completed daily observation logs (writing) in our science books. Science - life cycle of a plant, water cycle, etc. Maths - measurement. Measuring the growth of our plants.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We had lots of discussions around healthy eating. This kit has motivated the children to eat healthy by enabling them to grow their own veges/herbs and using these at home in their meals.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? A great impact. Children were very engaged in learning about the different vegetables and discussing if they have tried them, like/dislike them, etc.
Loved it! The children had such a great time planting their Little Gardens and completing the activities (code breakers, etc).

Hi...thank you for this resource. Our tamariki loved planting their seeds and watching them grow. It was lovely to see them interacting and talkibg sbout what they were observing. Being a hands on activity and somethibg our NE could independently do was rewarding. We started this at the very start of Term 4. It certainly encouraged the conversation around healthy veges / eating too.

Our children have learnt so much about growing plants by using the little garden school kit. They have learnt about the different parts of a plant and have thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to plant seeds. They have taken immense pride in earning their badges by watering their plants regularly. The kit had everything we needed to have a successful and enjoyable learning experience. Thank you!
