How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? We are not at this point yet. I have yet to introduce the game to my students.
The children of Ra 30 were very excited to plant their seed. We only did this last week but we are already seeing sprouts. The children and I are watering our seeds everyday before school which is promoting lots of discussion about how to best care for our seeds. Thank you for the school kit, it really is a great experience for the children.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Generated great discussion - especially around variety and how vegetables are used eg potatoes become chips.
Love the idea but a lot of the resources that come with the kit are not well suited to a New Entrant year 0 class. I just created another way of implementing and motivating the students into planting/growing. We planted our seeds directly into a large outdoor tub as we did not have the space inside.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? It allowed some great discussion. What is this vegetable? How can we use it? How do we prepare it and how does it taste?
This has worked perfectly with our science topic this term of Living World. Kids have loved learning how to care for a plant and checking daily on them. Have really enjoyed this kit. We have discussed the growth cycle and how we can use these plants when they are ready. We have investigated recipes child can use at home. They have definitely been exposed to different herbs and vegetables they hadn't been before. Lots of conversation.
