In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kids all wanted to try what they were growing. They were going to ask parents for more vegetables to be grown at home

“Good kit overall and the badges were well recieved. Some confusion once signedup and unfortunately and the kit took much longer than expected to arrive in the classroom. Children engaged in the growing process well although many struggled with the range of vegetables intially.”

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Eating vegetables and trying new foods helped to expand the students food palette.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? There were many vegetables that the students didn't know the names of or had never tried. The card games and stickers were great activities for identifying and learning the names. I encouraged them to choose vegetables that they hadn't tried before.

“My class really enjoyed looking after their garden. They planted it with their older buddies and look after them at school until they were ready to plant out. Once at this stage, they took the plants home to grow them over the holidays.”
