What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The children made a photo timeline of the life cycle of a plant. I sent them home when they needed planting into the ground. I would love to have a space to plant them at school to see the vegetable fully grown.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? My class were surprisingly knowledgable about vegetables but it definitely helped them learn and explore more about different types of vegetables.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Children are talking about the different vegetables they have been trying at home. I've noticed some more fruit and vegetables being included in lunch boxes.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Children could identify a wider range of vegetables. The names were a hook for some children when it came to remembering the vegetables.

“My students really enjoyed the whole process of planting, learning how we care for our seedlings, to taking these home to plant in their own vegetable gardens. The resources in the kit were excellent and engaged the children. The students had quite a good understanding of why we need vegetables in our diet but by using this kit they increased their knowledge of different vegetables that they could try. The students engaged in lots of discussion about vegetables and were very excited to observe their plants growing.”
