The children learned lots of new vocabulary and they loved writing about planting their seed. Lots of oral language about the process of germination, what plants need to grow, different types of vegetables and where our food comes form.

Children are more aware of where vegetables come from and why they are good for us. They loved growing their own vegetables which will hopefully encourage them to try them once they are ready for eating.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables?
It provided a fun and interactive way of learning about different types of vegetables and broadened their knowledge of different vegetables past the usual carrots, potatoes and peas.
