What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? This term we had a school gala. We grew plants to sell in our stall. We made art work of our vegetables to advertise our plants and learned about adding dollars together in Math.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We didn't get to eat any of the vegetables we grew. However we have a family in our class to own a cafe and they came in and talked to us about all our healthy food options on our menu.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? This was mostly student lead. Kids taught each other with their prior knowledge it was fantastic!

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kits encouraged some of my students to try vegetables that they had never seen before.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? The students had lots of fun recognising the vegetables as they were sowing them. A number of my student had never encountered some of them before and we quickly looked them up online to see what they could be used for.

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? The children loved the hands-on aspect of planting their individual gardens. This had cross-curricular links with science, particularly - the living world. Applying to be a clubhouse member involved literacy skills.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Planting the little gardens helped students become aware and understand how vegetables are grown (where they come from) and will help the students later in life when they have the ability to make healthy choices in their lunchboxes themselves and later on

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? There was a huge impact. Although some children hadn't heard of many of the different vegetables before, the visuals (stickers) and the 24 Founding Members Poster helped the students to identify vegetables.
