In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? The kits encouraged some of my students to try vegetables that they had never seen before.
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? The students had lots of fun recognising the vegetables as they were sowing them. A number of my student had never encountered some of them before and we quickly looked them up online to see what they could be used for.
This is the second time that I have used this kit and yet again my students loved it.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? It has definitely piqued their interest and enjoyment and growing, nurturing and extended their patience. They have loved having a 'healthy' vibe and it's been great to help them learn about why we should pile on the veg!
How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Due to the little labels disintegrating there's been a healthy dose of guess work, next time I would laminate them. They are more aware of a range of veg.
The children were so inspired by the activities and the little challenges - no one could walk into our classroom without being considered a suspect! The activities were age relavent and promoted a high interest in the vegetables. A greater interest was taken in healthy eating and lots of children started to deliberately choose to have extra veggies (purely for bragging rights!). The little pots created lots of discussion and generated interest in 'what happens next'. As a resource, it's truly impeccable - anyone can use it and it simply makes it so accessible to all. The children came into contact with so many new veggies! I would have liked the veggies to grow a little faster... but that's nature! You can't rush it. This also taught the kiddies patience! Thank you LGL!

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Students worked incredibly hard to earn a badge and a spot in the Garden League since it was such an interesting concept. Parents were incredibly helpful, and several of them donated their own little garden kits so we could plant a lot in one afternoon.
