What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We are in a Catholic school and it worked in well with our Religious Education 'creation story' unit and looking after God's creations (sustainability). The children loved caring for and watering the seeds.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? It was a fun, non threatening way to engage learners with new vegetables Children were excited and passionate about it

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Lots! Kids loved learning about new vegetables and plants. Some even mentioned they have been planting at home.

“Kids have loved being part of this planting, germinating and planting process. I think looking ahead for next year I would use this kit in another term other than term 4. Just because how busy term 4 and then growing/looking after veges over the summer can prove difficult.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Due to the lateness of the term and other activities it wasn't used to it's full potential sorry.

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? We unfortunately didn't really explore this part but I know some individuals were also engaging further at home - so thankful for the parents support.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? It has motivated them to know more and some enjoy going to our school garden club.

“Unfortunately our kit came a little to late in the term to really engage with it. The class loved the hands on things and solving the codes to be part of the secret club but I had to really work hard to follow the instructions - I felt this wasn't very clear in step by step instructions. I had done it before so had some memories came back but navigating the site was challenging.”

In what ways has this kit improved student awareness of nutrition and healthy eating? Students are able to inform their families about healthy eating. We got to eat some vegetables in the classroom and they knew how to educate other students from other classrooms.

How successful was this kit in promoting student ability to identify vegetables? Huge impact. They learnt new vocabulary and interesting facts about vegetables they weren't familiar with a long the way.

“Such an amazing school kit. Very hands on and my students loved it. They checked on their plants everyday and to see the excitement on their face was all worth it. Other classrooms had the opportunity to come and have a look at our plants.”
