How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? We used this kit as part of our unit to explore more stories from our local community.

Which of the following archives were you aware of and using with your students prior to kit? Digital NZ, NZ On Screen, National Library

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? Increased my own confidence as all the material that was provided was relevant and true. It also followed Maori protocols so I was not worried about doing it wrong.

“The resource was excellent. Full of lots of different stories that would appeal to a variety of learners. We were concentrating on local stories so we chose one to concentrate on, this being Nelson/Whakatu. The students found it interesting and engaging and enjoyed the variety of learning activities included. I would highly recommend this resource as a fantastic learning tool.”

“The materials were amazing, thank you so much. That includes all of the online information. It was comprehensive, and covered different aspects of NZ History. However, my class found it really difficult as a Year 7& class, and the difficulty in comprehending the online information really disengaged them. They loved looking at and feeling the physical equipment however!”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? It has been great but difficult for the children to understand fully as it is very in depth and there is alot of information to process.
