How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? I have only used one of the areas from the kit so far but intend to use more next year. I can see how as I gain in confidence I could use this model in the future.

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? It has been fantastic to have something solid to work from but also allowed a lot of free and student led inquiry.

I feel confident to teach the ANZ Histories Curriculum because of all the wonderful resources being developed to support our teaching. School Kit has made a resource that will be used over and over again.

“This was a particularly interesting kit as the stduents are in a bilingual Māori akomanga, and for some of them their whanau carry resentment towards the British for stealing their land. It was an interesting journey for the stduents to make connections and new understandings about what life was loike for everyone back in the day. The biggest step forward was that most of the class have a deeping understanding about Aotearoa NZ's histories from a variety of perspectives.”

“This kit was a great basis for exploring different aspects of New Zealand History. It was broad enough to allow for student agency but also allowed for structured plans around the resources. The amount of resources were incredible and can be used for way more than just one term of inquiry”

“Basing my review of the kit itself as we didn't end up using it this term due to planning conflicts. This kit has the most stunning resources that have been thoughtfully created and linked to the new curriculum changes. I love that we can link these to our local area/community too! I have no doubt these will invoke some useful discussions and significant learning in our social studies classes and look forward to using them Term 1 next year.”
