How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? We began our journey with the postcard for our local area. We walked around the area and identified examples from the tasks and activities. The kit provided multiple entry points for learning and incorporated new activities with each level.

“Great resource - so many layers and so much information that can be used in a variety of ways across our Year 8 MLE class. Sometimes the amount of information and activities can be overwhelming so we worked on breaking it down and taking quite a few of the steps together before the students worked independently. Lots of rich discussions!”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Yes absolutely, I would love to use this model to create our own local stories. A great way to go and discover more stories around our community and the impact it had on whanau in the community.
