How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? It was great to see some stories from our local area already in the kit - we can use the kit to expand on our teaching of these topics.

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I found it very helpful with topics that I didn't know a lot about - especially considering the materials were iwi sanctioned.

“The resources in this kit are amazing and so well put together. I was able to adapt the instructions on the student facing website for my Year 9 class and also use the materials with my Year 11 History class. Some great stories that range from well known events to events most students would have no prior knowledge.”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I will keep this kit and be able to use it again. Having the resources available has increased my confidence.

“We loved this Kit! We didn't manage to get through all of the"Something happened here"places. We are a Catholic school and loved the Suzanne Aubert tasks. WE are now making our own archive boxes based on yours. The students are making a box that is related to Tairawhiti. They have to research a place, person and artefact that was important to our area. They are loving it!”

I think the model could be applied to local places a

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I feel more confident having access to such a good range of resources to support teaching. I think this kit will give lots of possibility to integrate history into curriculum areas as relevant topics arise.

“A very good resource with a lot of detailed content. This will be valuable to refer back to and use again, in fact I think this kit is suited to using in sections at a time. The objects were especially good at sparking students' interest and prompting thinking.”

Which of the following archives were you aware of and using with your students prior to kit? Digital NZ, NZ On Screen, RNZ

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? I feel more confident because I know more and have examples about how to go about teaching different perspectives. At times, my students found the text on the website hard to comprehend so I did have to support them quite a bit with it.
