How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? Looking into the history of the local area is something I would like to do more of with my students.

Which of the following archives were you aware of and using with your students prior to kit? Cenotaph

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? To be honest this hasn't helped in a massive way. A lot of the process I was troubleshooting with students when they couldn't access or find particular things and so I was not able to make the most of learning the curriculum and what this could look like.

“Majority of my students found the kit very interesting. We had a few difficulties accessing all of the information but I feel like that was possibly due to most of our students using ipads. There was a great range of events and times throughout the kit and there were a few students that really had their eye opened.”

How has this kit motivated you to explore the history or your local area? Could you use this model? As there is so many parts to the kit next time could just focus on our local area, however the scope meant there was so much engagement as it was outside our area.

“Great Kit to start unpacking the new curriculum. Loved the pool of resources that were in it as well as the website and support that went alongside. Students have come away with a greater knowledge of our history and this has led into other areas of learning.”

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? It supplied some really engaging resources. I've always enjoyed teaching NZ history so that hasn't changed. Resourcing a good history unit is tricky for NZ though, so much appreciated.
