Our school is one of the oldest schools in Wellington so we have many old photo boards and artefacts on site. Teacher confidence has grown since we started to unpack the NZ Aotearoa History and this resource provided a motivating resource to enhance our ongoing exploration and professional development .

How has this kit impacted your confidence in delivering the new Aotearoa NZ's histories curriculum content? Yes, my own personal knowledge has grown. I feel like it's ok to be unsure and to research further with my class. I don't have to be the fount of all knowledge. We can find out together.

“I found the quality of the School Kit resources great, however the site was challenging to navigate and to figure out what matched with the resources and how to implement them into lessons. Many of the tasks were targeted above Year 4 students and so this made the content knowledge of the tasks difficult. Our students enjoyed learning about the Gold Rush.”
