How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Kids have a growing understanding of respectful relationships. We do some social coaching as needs arise and can use the vocabulary introduced in the kit. Playbased learning provides a great place for these interractions and learnings.
Great kit, due to lockdown it became tricky to implement it properly within the timeframe I'd planned it to be.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The inclusivness of each other in play was a really wonderful aspect of the kit. Children that didn't usually play together would interact and many new relationships were formed.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Charging the battery each morning and identify how the children felt to start the day was great to regulate their days and make it normal to talk about how each other was feeling.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Students learnt that they didn't have to be friends with everyone but that they could still always show respectful behaviours and kindness to everyone. The playground challenge was great with the trading stickers.
Overall our students loved this kit. They enjoyed using the charging station throughout the day. They also found new friendships and felt more connected after collecting all the stickers. They responded well to the activities and have found new ways to self monitor their ‘batteries’ and strategies with coping when they are feeling low.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Question cards prompted lots of student discussion around feelings and relationships with others.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The students responded well to the class battery and had a sense of pride seeing how far they could charge it each day. Playtime project worked well with interactions between students.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The scenarios on the cards were really helpful to encourage our learners to problem-solve and think of positive responses. We read one a week, after play times, and discussed our thoughts together. The regularity was helpful. Apologies for my late review

Mostly, the stickers and cards were the greatest 'hit', and they really did encourage our learners to initiate conversations with peers outside their normal groups. Many of our learners would ask others to sit with them for lunch or play with them at play

The kit was highly effective because of all the different components to it, which reinforced the same message. The content was relevant to our learners; their needs and interests.

I would love to keep the kit and give it another proper attempt at the beginning of 2021. Some of our year 1/2 classes used it well and I enjoyed listening to their exper
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? I began using the kit just as lockdown hit. I feel I haven't done justice to the kit and its contents as 2020 has been a bit of a nightmare. The extra pressures we have had on the curriculum have meant I still have components of the kit to use.

While we didn't get to complete all activities, what we did was positive and continued with previous work done in the class about positive friendships and relationships

Visually being able to see the battery levels and our own classroom battery gave students a great visual idea of how what we do or say can have an impact on each other and how these things can make us feel. They were able to also recharge the battery leve
We all really enjoyed this resource - teachers and learners alike. The material was relevant to our learners, it was easy to pick up and use, and our learners were particularly engaged by the colour, visuals and interactive nature of the kit. The energiser mat is very popular and still being used. The battery and magnets prompted daily, important discussions, before we got into learning. Our learners particularly enjoyed having their own sticker book and collecting the stickers for these.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The components allowed the children to see others view points and to think of ways that they could respond in certain situations in the class and the playground. It also made them aware of how their actions can make others feel.
I feel that the kit was produced to a very high standard but most of it was beyond my class of Year 1 children and much more suited to Year 2 or 3.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? I springboarded off the kits ideas to help teach this concept.
Room 16 enjoyed this kit. It took us quite a while to complete it and it is still an ongoing part of our classroom programe. I liked that this kit encouraged positive relationships and it helped my tamariki understand something that is usually inside of us (feelings) as it was visual / visible for them to see. This kit also complimented our school values so it is continuously being tied in to our daily tasks. I as a kaiako found the kit a little hard to follow but adapted it to suit my students neds.
