“I did not use the kit during this year. It did not seem to fit after Lockdown in term 2 and our school were focusing on PB4L training and initiation. The kit may also be useful to use in term 1 when I am setting up my classroom and the children are getting to know each other in a new environment. I plan to use the kit in term 1 2021.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? As previously mentioned all of the activities and visuals helped the children to understand what a respectful relationship looks like in a range of different contexts.
“I enjoyed this kit - especially the recharging station. I found the play lunch a bit confusing for our kids to follow, so honestly didn't get far with it. By far the best for my class was the idea of the recharging station. The kids were really invested in this, and in recharging their batteries - they even took the ideas to their whanau and implemented them at home!”

Children work better in group activities and have learned to discuss their feelings in their conversations in social conflict.

The acting/drama roles were really effective to help children learn about talking about their emotions and what different emotions look like. The play lunch project was a great tool for getting children to get to

“We really enjoyed this kit at the beginning of Term 3. We had new children arrive in our Year 1 &; 2 class and It was fantastic for building new relationships with the friend groups already existing in the class. I found this was the most useful part of the kit. It was great for explaining how relationships work and how to work through issues. The other sections were good too however I found the games where there was a lot of reading involved too tricky for our age group.”
