They are more willing to share things and the more able children often go to assist the less able children with their work if I am with another group. They volunteer to do jobs around the classroo

The relationships in the classroom were influenced by learning how to problem solve, brainstorm ideas together and they were then able to identify an underlying issues and solve them together, collaboratively.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It has helped my less to look out side their own little group of friends. And fitted and beautifully with the coaching we were doing around feelings and Covid.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The sticker charts we such fun. The colour differentiation help me to see who needed encouragement to widen their friendship circles.It also helped to identify those who needed extra coaching on how to makes friends.

“I found this kit to be very useful to focus on whole class behaviour and relationships. My junior class particularly liked the traffic light. It was easy for them to relate to and talk about red, orange and green light behaviours, they could explain each one and understand what they meant. We now use this terminology in class regularly. They may say. ";that is red light behaviour, we don't do that";. Or ";that is green light behaviour";.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The empathy and patience that the kids are showing towards each other has continued. They are all able to interact and socialise with anyone else in the class.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? This kit was good to promote relationships between the children. I adapted some of the activities for my 5 and 6 year olds. They worked well together as the disruption of Covid lockdown inhibited their ability to keep and maintain friendships.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? My children really liked the scenario cards. They had really good insight into why they were answering as they did. They enjoyed using their sticker cards. We used them during our learning through play time to show the different kids we had played with.

“Children loved the unit. Children liked the task of trying to play with other people in the playground. The open ended questions have been great discussion point and my class love hearing other peoples views.”
