How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? To a point, some children will always have difficulties.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Being able to freely choose their emotional level without fear of mocking or being judged help some of my boys. It made others aware of their emotions and made others think about how they can help each other.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? I have been lucky as this years class I had 2 years ago and they were aware of my expectations around respect towards each other. Parts of the kit just helped to highlight this.
“This kit was very helpful. The children really enjoyed getting to know the other children in their class. The passport and stickers motivated the children to get to know each other and they found it really enjoyable. The kit provided opportunities for the children to have engaging discussions about how they can interact in a positive way with others. This was really effective in bringing the class back together after lockdown. It is wonderful to see the children making positive connections with each other in a variety of ways. This has continued throughout the year and we will continue to utilise the skills and habits this kit has introduced.”

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Again, the activity ideas helped to try and teach relationships in a more creative and interactive way, but because of the disruptive year it is hard to measure the actual impact

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It helped the children look beyond themselves and think about their peers and be more reflective. This in turn helped create a more positive and supportive class.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The children enjoyed having their own booklet and stickers which helped with them being more involved and taking more ownership for their learning/involvement.

It helped the children to gain a clearer understanding of what respect is and what it looks like in the classroom and in the playground environment - ensuring that learning transfers to all life experiences.
“We enjoyed this Kit. The children were engaged. It may of been more suited for us to have this kit at the beginning of the year. Though with Covid and we were starting all over again it worked well to have this to use when we started again.”

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The visual map and the battery was a great resource that the children could make connections with. Post lockdown, it was a great way for the children to connect with each other again.

We are very grateful. For some children, they're able to discuss the ideas, but not yet able to implement them independe
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Our children are more understanding and open to other perspectives and points of view. They're aware that the things they say and do can affect how others feel (even if that's not their intention).

Having something concrete (the poster, the discussion cards, the booklets) meant we could talk about more abstract concepts like perspective, respect, trust etc. We also use Zones of Regulation across our school, and do regular, specific teaching of these

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? We have alot of year 2's so the discussions were very receptive. The stories and video's worked very well and are quite an important tool for us as Yr 1/2 teachers.
