This kit had many layers and many different approaches you could take. My students really related with the battery recharging image and could see how this related to how they were feeling on different days during the week. My Year 3 students have really responded to the message of the kind question story. This has become a feature in our class programme.

I found this kit very useful for discussing topics around kindness, respect, inclusion, friendship, etc. I loved the variety of recommended resources, e.g. the stories and podcasts. The quality of the kit was great - the posters, etc. were very eye catching and the students loved using these.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? We used role playing
HI there We found the resource really helpful but found it hard to do it justice as our attendance levels were (and still are) spotty. Many kids we started on the kit lessons were often away the next day (or longer) and those who arrived had to be introduced to what they had missed. Ideally the kit would have been perfect learning to focus a class in on being respectful and forging relationships and these ideas will definitely be utilised again-especially at the start of a new year. Many thanks for all your hard work in providing these kits to us hard-working teachers.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? This kit was really useful in both helping students to think about their own prosocial behaviours but also recognising and acknowledging the prosocial behaviour of other students.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? After the Lockdown, there were a number of children who were anxious, etc. and needed a bit of reminding about the ways we can show respect to one another. The kit was very useful for this.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? This kit fit in really well with some other ways we have discussed kindness, e.g. the battery aligned with Carol McCloud's bucket filling.
It was a little confusing with all of the different cards and sets of instructions: I wasn't sure at first as to which cards belonged to which activity. The ideas underlying the kit were excellent however and the children really responded to the play with people at lunchtime activity

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The kit helped to support the students in their understanding and the work we already do as a part of our religious education programme.
Hi, I already did this review. I found the kit to be way above my 5 year olds. I felt it was aimed at aYer 5/6- the activiites. The links to the books were great though. I made a kindness tree, read the books, acted out ways of being kind using puppets. Talked about giving and receiving compliments, used the ";empty bucket' senario.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Using the class battery daily helped remind children of the behaviours that we were aiming for
The emotions battery was very useful in relation to the children identifying how they were feeling. This was used in conjunction with 'Zones of regulation'. The students enjoyed the play lunch stickers and this did encourage the students to play with different people, however it a big job trying to get them to swap the correct stickers.
