How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? I think it has helped children see not just how they can effect others, but also to learn positive and assertive language to let others know that their behaviour is not acceptable.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It was great to welcome our New Entrants into our room and time to settle back into class routines was definitely helped by this kit.

“What a buzz! My children absolutely loved this kit and making new friends. It was so lovely to hear children being so positive towards each other and created a heap of learning opportunities.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? Children were able to identify what things were making others not feel good about themselves.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The children also took what they learnt to the playground and within the wider school community. The other teachers were able to see the change in their behaviour as well.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The children understood how important is was to be kind to others and what kinds of things that they had to do. Compliments to each other became a daily activity during the day which they got better at.
“Was not very good for year 1 level. Was too abstract for children, and instructions weren't clear for teachers to follow (unsure of how to use resource).”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? The children have sought people they don't know as well to include in their activities.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? Encouraging the children to form relationships with children they don't usually spend as much time with has been the most noticeable thing. The 'battery' was also helpful and the children were able to see that it's okay to feel great some days and a bit '

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? The children are able to explain some of the things they can do to get to know others better. We have discussed what showing respect for others looks like in our classroom and school.
“This created great discussions and paired well with Kiva work we are beginning. The kids loved that the kit is so interactive such as sharing the stickers and all of the videos too. We still use the charging the battery idea which was a good refresher/reminded us lots about the treaty we created at the start of the year.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? It absolutely has been a great aid in developing strategies for making and maintaining friendships. It has also helped with strategies for being kind to everyone, and how to manage with things are not going your way.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It has been wonderful to see the skills learned spill into positive interactions with children in the class and the other children in the playground. Also has been fabulous post lockdown to re-establish skills learned.

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? I have heard the children talking more about our school values and noticing when others are showing them.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? It was helpful to pick the kit up again after our first lockdown. I think it helped the students re establish their relationships.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? They have had lots of opportunities to practise developing respectful relationships. The children particularly enjoyed the playground activities an giving and receiving stickers.
“I found this kit was difficult to use and wasn't very clear to follow compared to other kits. I found that the videos didn't seem to directly relate to what I was teaching e.g. children were focused on story and couldn't identify the main idea they were trying to share. Compared to other kits, there wasn't a clear guideline to follow as a teacher to teach this kit.”
