The relationship map helped students understand that we have varied relationships with people around us, other than family members. The students learned that relationships can be positive and sometimes negative, and learned the skills to deal with proble

“I enjoyed this kit as it came just at the right time - with the return to school from Covid-19 lockdown. I also have a special needs child in my class who struggles to name their emotions. We used the kit to support his learning and to teach the other children that we don't all feel the same way at the same time. Learning to recharge their batteries and acknowledge how we all respond in different ways has been highly beneficial. At first, I found the kit a bit overwhelming, but I do find the online support and Facebook group are great for all those little questions and also to see how others have taken the kit and adapted it to suit their learners and environment. We have taken the poster and displayed it permanently in a quiet part of our room, so the students can always check in with how they are feeling at any given moment in the day. It has also helped to extend their vocabulary beyond the simple ";happy, sad, angry"; that they would usually use to describe their emotions.”
