How have the components within the kit helped develop your students understanding of what a respectful relationship is? Used some of the components in conjunction with other resources. Such as Harold the giraffe and bucket filling
“This school kit had some very good messages and lessons within. The students especially loved the play lunch project. The poster and the interactive things were enjoyable too. As the teacher, in the beginning I found it difficult to understand the kit as I wasn't quite sure where to start but once I figured out how it was set up I could start using some of the activities. I did find some activities fell into the ";too hard basket"; eg the singing as it was a lot harder than we originally thought. Some aspects also seemed a bit pointless and just ended up confusing me, e.g. the tokens and the Thing + That + For activity. I couldn't link them very clearly to the topic of respectful relationships.”

“It was a good kit for building relationships. I was looking for something a little more structured with lessons but it was also nice that it was so fluid as it was easy to adapt when we came back to school after lock-down.”

How has the kit helped to develop prosocial behaviours? My class are generally very respectful and understand prosocial behaviours. However, many discussion came up through incidents in the playground that we could discuss.
How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? I have a class of very respectful students. They are very understanding of individual differences and being kind to others. Some important learning through this kit was that you don't have to do everything that others say justy to make them happy.

How have the components within the kit influenced the relationships in your classroom community? The tamariki have become better sharing how they feel and what we can do if they need help explaining their feelings.
